Meet the Teacher: Mrs. Cheney

By: Anna Edmiston

This year, we have a slew of new teachers. Because of this, I thought it would be important to let all of you have a chance to meet them all with this new series of articles. These articles will include a little bit of information about the teacher as well as the answers to a set of questions posed by me to the teachers. Also, to make the articles more fun, I am taking intentionally bad photos of all the teachers. I hope you enjoy this peek into their lives.

It should really be called “Meet the Secretary” this week because that’s exactly what’s happening. She is one of the most important cogs in the great machine that is Arlington High School, and you all should get to know her a little better. Mrs. Cheney was a graduate of Arlington High School and then went to Owens Community College for Office Administration. When asked why she chose Owens, she said that she liked the fact that it was close to home. Her hobbies include sports, watching sports, and playing sports. She does not have any pets yet, but is hoping for a dog in the future. When asked why she wanted this position, she immediately said, “I love Arlington with all of my heart and soul.”
