When did you graduate from Arlington High School?
I graduated in 2009.
What do you do for a living?
I am an Area Marketing Manager for 5 properties in Champaign, IL.
What inspired you to do this job?
Taking a leap of faith! I went to school for Early Childhood Education. My hope was to teach 2nd or 3rd graders as well as coach. When I graduated college my current employer asked if I would stay full time. 12 years since I have been across the United States helping properties with marketing efforts.
What have you been doing since you graduated from Arlington?
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling! I have been to 48 out of the 50 states, and 5 different countries. My favorites to visit were definitely Hawaii, Alaska, and Belize.
What is a happy memory you have from being at AHS?
One happy memory of mine was the ability to witness history when the girls won a Division IV title and the boys made the final four.
What’s some advice you would give those at Arlington High School right now?
Don’t be afraid to leave, but always remember where you came from! I am proud to call Arlington my hometown and cherish the memories I made. I am also glad I am able to enjoy what the world has to offer along with that. Another piece of advice (shameless plug), sign up for Media Writing! So many jobs are looking for media/social experience and this will help boost your resume right away!
