About Us

The Arlington Local School District was established in 1929.  The school facility is located on 20 acres of land at the south end of the village.  The original building was built in 1923.  Additions and major renovations were made in 1948, 1958, 1977 and 1992.  Visitors to the school often comment on the well-kept facility.

The beautiful village of Arlington is located eight miles south of Findlay on State Route 68.  A bedroom community located in the rich farming region of Hancock County, residents enjoy a peaceful living experience where family-friendly activities abound.

Major cultural activities are within easy driving distance in Toledo (sixty minutes) and Columbus (ninety minutes).  Major shopping centers are located in Lima (thirty minutes) and Findlay (fifteen minutes).  Blanchard Valley Hospital is located in Findlay and a medical facility housing two doctors is located in Arlington.  There are many churches in the school district representing a variety of faiths.  The Arlington Good Samaritan Center, a retirement and continuing care facility, is located directly west of the school.

The close-knit community comes together often at school events, chicken barbeques, ice cream socials, and local church and village activities.  In this small-town atmosphere, children are the focal point of the community.  Over one hundred people regularly volunteer their time at the school.
